Submission: All manuscripts for consideration should be sent to editor@neodiversity.org

File formats: Text: .doc (microsoft word 1997/xp compatible). Figures should be send in .pdf, .eps, .wmf preferrably, or high resolution (1200 dpi .tif).

General organization of the manuscript:

Articles should be submitted electronically, in english, with minimum formatting. Please refer to recently published articles as a guideline for the necessary topics. All scientific names should bear the author the first time they are cited in the text. Description should have main topics in bold. They should follows as much as possible standard scientific organisation with headings such as Introduction, Material and Methods, Results, Discussion and Literature Cited. Subheadings in the results can be used.

Bibliographical citations:

References in the text must be cited without commas, e.g. Silva (2004) or (Silva 2004), for two authors the format is Silva & Souza (2004) or (Silva & Souza 2004), for more than three authors the usage is (Pereira et al. 2003).

LITERATURE CITED should follow the templates:

a) One author: Krackowizer, F.J. 1954. Monografia do gênero Leptotes. Revista do Círculo Paulista de Orquidófilos 11:64-72.

Specimen citations:

The format for the specimens has the following template "BRAZIL, Bahia: municipality or county, exact locality, coordinates, 08 Dec 2005, T.Silva 2222 (HERBARIUM).".

Types should be cited as follows: "Type: <> (Holotype: HERBARIUM-A, isotypes HERBARIUM-B, HERBARIUM-C, ETC.)"
